BHR-Behavioral Health Response CRISIS HOTLINE
314-469-6644 and 314-469-3638 (TTY)
BHR provides confidential telephone counseling to people in mental health crises as well as mobile outreach services, community referral services, and critical incident stress management (CISM). BHR’s crisis hotline and mobile outreach services are provided free of charge to the public by paid professional staff who have master's degrees in their respective behavioral science disciplines. Mobile outreach is offered on crisis calls where callers would benefit from a higher level of intervention. Master-level mental health professionals are sent to the caller’s residence or to a local agency to meet face to face and complete a crisis assessment for the purpose of making recommendations for care. Follow-up services are available to help facilitate callers’ connection to needed services.
